Young and inexperienced persons can often be remarkably wise. In this interview we hear exactly what a group of children liked most about their recent bell tent camping adventure. The audio recording shared with us from the National Trust really is very special indeed, I felt quite emotional listening to it...

Click here to hear what the children (and their parents) had to say about camping in SoulPad bell tents at Chirk Castle.

"Hello Zoe and the SoulPad team,

I just wanted to share with you the success of our Camp at the Castle project that you so kindly helped with last year. To remind you the project was between us at the National Trust Chirk Castle, a local NHS health improvement team and a local branch of the charity Homestart. We purchased your tents at a kindly discounted rate with funding from the Big Lottery. Homestart is a nationwide charity who support families who are experiencing hardship in a variety of ways. The project was born when they expressed a wish that some of their most vulnerable families could experience the joy of a family holiday, something they had never been able to give their children and something beyond the parent/parents capabilities independently.

Last July we welcomed 4 families to camp for the weekend at Chirk Castle, supported by volunteers from Homestart, the National Trust and the Caia Park Health Team. They camped in your SoulPad tents and for the weekend these became home for the 19 children, 6 parents and numerous volunteers. I have attached the feedback that I gathered from the families as nothing else can adequately explain how much it meant to them."
